The Seohyun Foundation is a NGO that strives to transform Uganda into a faith-based community by sharing the word of God with the utmost care. Our mission is to spread the Saemaul Movement by fostering community development and promoting health amongst Ugandans. Through this service, our hope is to contribute to the development of agriculture, medicine and education within Uganda.

 

What is Saemaul Movement?

The Korean phrase Saemaul Undong, also known as the Saemaul Movement, is an initiative founded upon the desire to narrow disparities in living standards between developed and developing societies. Diligence, self-reliance and collaboration are key components of the Saemaul Movement. The Movement promotes a system of cooperating with one’s community and effectively weaning off of foreign aid and modernizing the countryside.
